Roy Futterman, Ph.D

Roy Futterman, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist and strategic consultant following a career as a creator and manager of an innovative mental health treatment program in a public hospital in the Bronx.  Dr. Futterman has extensive qualitative research experience in interviewing individuals and facilitating focus groups, and providing strategic analysis and recommendations for the marketing and legal fields.  Dr. Futterman received his B.S. from Boston University, and his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Derner Institute at Adelphi University.

In psychology and strategic consulting, he has specialized in the analysis of unconscious factors in decision-making, and has worked toward greater integration of psychological theory and technique into strategic consulting.  Dr. Futterman has used these clinical skills to help marketers understand consumer influences on their behavior, and to assist attorneys in developing persuasive legal strategy and in selecting juries.

As an associate of Psychologics, he has consulted on the branding and positioning of pharmaceuticals, health care and consumer products for such companies as Proctor & Gamble, Baxter and the Altria Group.

Dr. Futterman has published a variety of journal articles and book chapters on using psychological techniques for strategic consulting and on various other psychological topics.
